SPRING WATER

Unlike some other waters that come from natural springs, our spring water comes from Mount Palomar, which is one of the highest peaks (above the 6000 ft. level) in San Diego County of Southern California, that above the smog level. Also, Mount Palomar spring water does not pass over any surface that may have been tainted by contaminants such as farming, ranching residue, petroleum wastes, or synthetic contaminants created by industrial or environmental industries.

State Certified Laboratory tests prove that Mount Palomar spring water complies with all of the requirements set for spring waters. In fact, in 2012, naturally alkaline Palomar Mountain spring water was awarded “One of the best-bottled waters in the world” by the annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting.

WATER PURIFICATION

Our crystal clear, refreshing purified water comes from the municipal water supply of Riverside, California. It has been treated by the additional processing methods which include multiple stages of filtration, the application of ultraviolet light (UV) and reverse osmosis. Just prior to bottling, the water is treated with ozone (called ozonation) as a final safeguard against microbiological contaminants, including Cryptosporidium. Information about this parasite can be found here: www.cdc.gov/parasites/crypto.

Ozone has a residual action and works in the bottle for a few hours after the cap is sealed which assures that there is no bacteria in the bottle, cap or water. Within a few hours after the bottle has been filled and capped, the ozone converts to oxygen (O2) enhancing the benefits of the water.

Multiple stages of filtration include particulate filtration, carbon filtration, micron filtration and reverse osmosis for the removal of chlorine, taste, odors, sediment and suspended particles.

Reverse osmosis is a process that removes nearly all of the salts or minerals in the source water. It works by forcing water through a semi-permeable membrane. (The water passes through but the minerals do not).

The water is then treated by Ultraviolet light to remove microbiological contaminants.

All of our bottled water products are treated by ozone. We use ozone because it doesn’t cause a taste and odor problem. Ozone, O3, is bubbled through the water just before it goes into a clean, sanitized bottle.
